Dr Sudeshna Basugupta is Associate Professor (Teaching) in Sustainable Resource Management in the Deptartment of Chemical Engineering. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and contributes to the nurturing of a teaching focused community in UCL. As an assessor, she engages with colleagues from diverse subject areas on discussion related to best teaching practices to stay informed and apply them to her own teaching practices.
Her teaching practices are driven by educational research, with the application of diverse teaching tools and assessment methods, to support an inclusive learning environment for her students who have different academic backgrounds including engineering, geology, management, environmental science, economics and others.
She has been a Student Success Lead since September 2024.

- Development of project to investigate gaps in personal tutoring provision
- Development of departmental working groups to lead on design and delivery of the Integrated Engineering Project (IEP).
