Dr Simmy Grover is an organisational psychologist and lectures in Consulting Psychology for the Industrial/Organisational Business Psychology MSc Course and Organisational Psychology for the Psychology BSc Course.Her doctoral was completed at UCL and assessed the influence of individual, group and contextual factors on risk taking, trading behaviour and investment decision making.
It examined the impact of individual differences, such as personality, cognitive intelligence, and emotional intelligence, and informal networks on individual, team and organisational performance.
She has been a Student Success Lead since September 2024.

Previous work*
- Recruitment of a BAME student representative.
- Creation of Faculty-wide BAME student newsletter.
- Conducting a quantitative research study to investigate whether national concerns regarding the attainment gap are also prevalent across BME and non-BME groups at UCL.
- Conducting qualitative study to understand the awarding gap in module assessments throughout the Faculty.
- Organised an inspirational BAME speakers event co-created and facilitated with Faculty of Brain Science students.
- Working with students via the Student Curriculum Partners scheme to focus on engagement and improvement to Psychology modules.
- Ensure Chairs of UG exam boards are engaging with awarding gap data using last year’s data.
