Elke is a seasoned education leader with over 20 years of experience across academic and professional services roles. She is deeply committed to equality and inclusion, focussing on dismantling barriers that hinder access and success for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Throughout her career, Elke has led strategic change initiatives to improving the student experience, developing robust systems and processes to ensure every learner can access the tools and opportunities they need to flourish. Her work is defined by a passion for meaningful transformation and a dedication to cultivating inclusive environments where all students are empowered to succeed.
Elke has been a Student Success Faculty Lead since September 2024.

Conceptualise and support the development of a live student performance dashboard to allow for timely support for students
Review post-induction tutorial and student support needs for undergraduate students
Drive initiatives to remove barriers to learning, in particular for students with physical disabilities
Develop initiatives across the faculty to increase the number of UG home students

- Creation of multiple student and staff focus groups to explore attitudes around race and inclusion throughout the institute
