Your preferences

Panopto offers staff greater flexibility and control in how recordings are managed. Its default settings align with UCL’s refreshed Education Media Recording Policy. This states that whether a teaching session is either recorded or released is a ‘matter of professional judgement for the person who is teaching the session’.

Staff will decide if a session is recorded and can manage who can access the recordings.

It is important that departments ensure alignment with the policy in how Panopto and its Scheduler are locally set-up.

Improvements to Panopto Scheduler

The integration between Panopto Scheduler and the timetable has been improved, with more frequent updates throughout the day. Staff who schedule a recording will now receive email notifications if a change in the timetable impacts an upcoming recording. Find guidance on using Panopto Scheduler.
