Encourage your new students to feed back on their start at UCL

We'd like to encourage you to your students about the survey and why their opinions are important to you and your department. You can find examples of how student feedback has led to improvements.  

About the survey 

New to UCL is our annual survey for all new students: undergraduates, postgraduates, research students, foundation year students, and affiliates. 

The online survey gathers feedback on their early experiences with us, covering key areas such as: 

• Admissions and decision-making 
• Arriving at UCL 
• Induction and academic welcome 
• Student support services 
• Accommodation and housing 
• Settling in and feeling part of the UCL community 

The survey takes approximately 15–20 minutes to complete and is hosted on the Qualtrics platform. 

All responses are anonymous. 

Prize draw 

Students who complete the survey will be automatically entered into a prize draw: 

• 1 x £500 cash 
• 2 x £250 cash 
• 10 x £25 cash 

How to complete the survey 

Eligible students have received an email invitation to take part in New to UCL 2025–26. 

They can also access the survey directly until 5 December 2025, using their UCL email address to log in.
