The Annual Programme Survey 2025: Now open for continuing undergraduate students
24 March 2025
All eligible students were emailed on Monday 17 March 2025 by the UCL Student Surveys Team and asked to complete the APS survey. The survey will remain open until Monday 14 April 2025.

Why does the APS for continuing undergraduate students matter?
The survey plays a key role in helping us act on feedback from students, allowing us to identify issues affecting the student experience and take action where needed. By responding to the survey, students provide insights on:
- individual modules
- teaching quality
- assessment
- the broader programme structure.
The results from the survey will be available for departments to review by department level.
What does the survey cover?
The survey gathers feedback on students’ experiences across various aspects of their programme, including module content, teaching quality, assessments, academic support and learning resources. It evaluates opportunities for collaboration, extracurricular activities and career support. Additionally, it includes questions about reasonable adjustments and support.
The survey aims to assess overall satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
Is the feedback confidential?
APS feedback is entirely confidential, meaning students can share their views honestly and openly. Alongside quantitative results, departments and support services will receive open text comments from students participating in the APS, which are valuable in highlighting best practice. These comments, along with the numerical scores, contribute to Faculty and Department Education Plans, to help guide improvements in education and student experience.
Student prize draw
After completing the APS, students will be entered into our prize draw.
• 1 student will win £1000 cash.
• 2 students will win £250 cash.
• 10 students will win £25 Love2Shop vouchers.
How you can help
Use our resources! There is at least one Student Survey Liaison Officer in each academic department and they have received a comprehensive guide to promoting the survey locally.
Staff can find APS promotional materials including images for social media and PowerPoint templates on the Templates and Guides page.
Weekly response rate updates will be shared by faculty, department and programme level so you can track the progress.
You can encourage students to participate by:
- reminding students about the survey during lectures, seminars or via Moodle
- promoting the APS for Continuing Undergraduate Students through departmental social media channels
- highlighting the incentive scheme.
