UCL to welcome new Pro-Vice-Provost Education (Student Academic Engagement)

Dr Kathryn Woods joins us as Pro-Vice-Provost Education (Student Academic Engagement) from November 2022.

Kathryn joins the Education & Student Experience office from Goldsmiths, University of London, where she is the Dean of Students.    
 
Kathryn will be involved in all aspects of education and the student experience, with a particular focus on supporting and enhancing personal academic tutoring, working with departments to ensure student voice mechanisms are effective, developing student learning/engagement metrics and digital solutions, and working closely with the Student Union and student Mental Health and Wellbeing services. 
 
Professor Armour said: 

“I am delighted to welcome Kathryn to UCL. This is an exciting time to be a part of the education leadership team, as we shape our vision for UCL education in this strategic planning period. Our ambition is to deliver a student experience that reflects our global standing in research. Kathryn's role as PVP Education (Student Academic Engagement) will be vital to ensuring we effectively support our students' learning during their time at UCL.” 

Dr Woods said: 

“I am really looking forward to joining UCL, and meeting students and academic and professional colleagues. I am excited to get know and work with the Students' Union, learn more about UCL's organisational culture, and contribute to enhancing students' education experiences at UCL.”  

Kathryn will start her new role in November 2022, and we look forward to welcoming her to UCL.
