Could your research project benefit from a fully-funded undergraduate researcher?
We are now seeking research projects which could offer UCL Laidlaw scholars a summer placement in 2018
6 September 2017
The prestigious Laidlaw Research and Leadership Programme at UCL makes available 25 fully-funded research places for first-year undergraduates. Laidlaw scholars will work on their own distinct element of a larger research project for six weeks after the end of the summer term.
We are now looking for research projects which could offer a Laidlaw summer placement in 2018.
Summer project supervisors will gain a high performing undergraduate researcher competitively selected by academic merit. This is a great opportunity to enhance the education of some of UCL’s brightest first year undergraduates. The scholar will come at no additional cost to the overall project – their living costs and accommodation are paid for by a bursary from the scheme. In addition, the supervisor can claim up to £625 per scholar to cover any associated costs.
More information about the scheme and how to put your project forward for inclusion can be found at www.ucl.ac.uk/laidlaw-scholarships/supervisors.

Now entering its second year at UCL, the Laidlaw Research and Leadership Programme is run by the Office of the Vice-Provost (Education and Student Affairs).
