25th June 12pm-1pm

This session explores how staff, and in particular professional services staff, can engage with the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) to critically reflect on, evaluate, and share the impact of their work in higher education. Often central to driving innovation, partnership, and student success initiatives, professional services colleagues have valuable insights and practice-based knowledge that can contribute meaningfully to the wider HE community. The session will demystify SoTL by exploring what it is, how to get started with turning practice into publishable outputs, and where staff can share their work through conferences, journals, case studies, and professional networks. Participants will leave with practical strategies, increased confidence, and ideas for developing their own scholarly voice and dissemination plans.
