This workshop will begin by sharing and critically assessing some theory about collaboration: considering the nature of collaboration attendees have already undertaken, as well as possibilities for designing future episodes based on the collaborative models shared.
The session will then explore key tools and strategies for embedding collaborative learning within teaching sessions, notably enquiry-based approaches to learning, use of personas, ice-breakers and creative tasks.
Aim of the session:
- To understand and critically reflect on theories regarding collaboration
- To share approaches to, and strategies for, fostering collaboration during learning episodes
- To set individual targets for trying and increasing collaboration opportunities in individual practice
Who should attend
Participants can join at any stage of their teaching career – there will be time for sharing challenges, opportunities and best practice from experiences, as well as making plans for increasing collaboration in the session.
