Participants may wish to review sections 1 to 3 of the online course before attending this workshop.
This workshop is comparable to the ‘Introduction’ and ‘Remote’ personal tutoring workshops from previous years.
In this session we will:
- review UCL’s approach to personal tutoring and your role within it
- discuss some challenging scenarios
- talk about how to advise, signpost and support students using UCL's Student Triage and Referral Tool (STaRT)
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- understand the role and purpose of a personal tutor at UCL
- understand and implement personal tutoring best practices
- develop their approach to personal tutoring
