24 March 2025, 10:00 am–12:00 pm

This workshop is designed for staff members who are inexperienced with generative AI, or who are time-poor and want to know about only the most vital aspects of GenAI in teaching and learning. It can be attended as a stand-alone event, or as an introduction before attending the 'Generative AI: developing your teaching and learning practice' workshop. The session covers: what GenAI is and how it is/can be used, common features and problems with GenAI, how GenAI interacts with UCL's approach to academic integrity, tips for discussing GenAI use with your students, and how to apply UCL's three category approach to assessments. There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion. Staff who have previously attended the workshop 'Generative AI, Academic Integrity and Assessments' are welcome to book onto this workshop. They should note that similar material is covered in greater depth, but this workshop does not cover more advanced concepts around assessment design.

This event is free.
