Aims of the workshop:

Introduce the idea of gamification and use of tactile pedagogies as a form of student engagement.

By the end of this session, particpants will be able to

  • • Define and explain the key concepts and benefits of gamified learning and tactile teaching methods.
    • Recognise and select appropriate gamification strategies that can be integrated into their specific teaching contexts to increase student engagement.
    • Incorporate these innovative teaching techniques into existing curricula to create more dynamic and interactive learning experiences.
    • Create a classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation, collaboration, and a positive learning experience through the use of gamification and tactile activities.

Early and mid career UCL staff; any UCL staff who teach;
