This workshop will explore ways of building collaboration into teaching sessions. Drawing on research about effective collaboration, we will consider why collaboration supports successful learning, as well as discussing teaching strategies to apply to teaching sessions. This session aims to engage students as co-creators of learning and co-producers of meaning during teaching episodes.

Aim of the session:

  • To understand and critically reflect on theories regarding collaboration
  • To share approaches to, and strategies for, fostering collaboration during learning episodes
  • To set individual targets for trying and increasing collaboration opportunities in individual practice

Who should attend

Participants can join at any stage of their teaching career - time for sharing challenges, opportunities and best practice from experience in the session.
