This session is designed to mirror one blended approach to teaching design and its effectiveness will be evaluated in-session. Ahead of the session, colleagues will be invited to read and browse some relevant materials.
This workshop will:
- To offer a structure to help cohere thinking around what sorts of teaching, learning and assessment ‘blends’ colleagues might employ as we continue to navigate our way through disrupted times
- To provide a forum to discuss some principles, controversies and issues related to ‘blended by design’ thinking
- On the basis that ‘there’s never a good time’ and ‘we’re always too busy’: To offer an opportunity to pause and reflect on teaching, learning and assessment experiences and apply ideas to each person’s specific context and discipline
After attending this session you will:
- Make informed decisions about nature of the blend they will use when planning sessions, modules or even programmes
Who should attend
Early career, mid career, education leaders. Any colleagues who design teaching, learning and/ or assessment activities from programme level through to single sessions
