25 October 13:00 - 14:00

Delivered by UCL Arena Centre, this interactive workshop encourages participants to reflect on the use of flipped teaching approaches to encourage active and deeper student learning.

Before the session participants will be encouraged to read one or two case studies and to think about how these approaches might be relevant to their own teaching context and discipline.

During the session, we will explore some examples of flipped learning in practice and encourage participants to share their own experience as learners and teachers.

In this session you will

  • Reflect on some of the advantages & challenges of synchronous teaching (online and face-to-face);
  • Explore some flipped learning and teaching approaches;
  • Consider how these approaches and activities might be applied to your own teaching context.
