Led by UCL Arena, UCL Volunteering and UCL Culture, this session is open to all UCL staff who are interested in embedding sustainability into their programmes or modules and want to develop teaching projects and activities that take place in the campus and/or the local community.
This session will:
- explain what is sustainability learning and how it can enable students to develop new competencies, in the light of the SDGs
- give you the opportunity to hear from other staff who have integrated sustainability into their teaching practice
- present the links between sustainability and community-engaged learning through global and place-based pedagogical approaches
- signpost you to resources, sustainability projects and opportunities and further support
After attending this session you will
- be able to reflect on how your programme or module could look like by embedding sustainability projects and activities into your teaching
- be able to experiment with different approaches of community engaged learning and sustainability teaching
- be able to use the support and the resources offered
