Peer assessment: an introduction 22 Oct

UCL Arena Centre are delivering this session, which is open to all staff at UCL who teach students.

Peer assessment is widely used in higher education as a way of helping students understand assessment and feedback.

However, students often express dissatisfaction with peer assessment.

This session will:

• explore why students become dissatisfied with peer assessment
• consider the advantages and drawbacks of peer assessment.

After attending this session you will 

• identify the causes of student dissatisfaction with peer assessment
• explore what students learn from engaging in peer assessment, and; 
• devise a plan to prepare students for peer assessment

Who should attend

You should attend if you are a member of UCL staff who teaches.  

Postgraduate Teaching Assistants and all early career educators will find this session particularly useful.
