Feedback and Assessment Programme

Learn about activities taking place through the Feedback and Assessment Programme.

The Feedback and Assessment (F&A) Programme coordinates a wide range of activities across relevant central teams that aim to:

  • improve staff and student experiences

  • help ensure assessment integrity at UCL.

The F&A Programme consists of four strands of activities, each with a leader. The programme is overseen by an Advisory Board. Check for updates from each strand and find out more about the members of the Advisory Board.

Strand 1: Regulations

We’re updating regulations and guidance for F&A, clarifying the distinction between the two, to ensure that colleagues across UCL are able to assure themselves of regulatory compliance and quality of F&A.

Leader: Zak Liddell, Director of Education Services

Strand 2: Operations, processes, and platforms

We’re creating the necessary infrastructure to deliver in-person digital exams and provide colleagues with richer and more comprehensive data about the nature, timing, and marking and feedback status of assessments.

Leader: Daniel Farrell, Director of Student Operations

Strand 3: Pedagogic support and guidance

We’re working with central teams including UCL’s Higher Education Development & Support Institute, Library Services, UCL Academic Communication Centre, Education Services, and Digital Education to provide the pedagogic and digital support, guidance and training to enable colleagues across UCL to implement the principles set out in the F&A programme.

Leader: Danielle Tran, Deputy Director, HEDS

Strand 4: Data and reporting

We’re making more data readily available to colleagues across UCL to support them in adopting the principles set out in the F&A programme and to enable UCL to deliver a new curriculum information management system.

Leader: Daniel Farrell, Director of Student Operations
