Professor Ali Zumla receives a knighthood

UCL Professor Sir Alimuddin (Ali) Zumla has been honoured by Her Majesty the Queen in her 2017 Birthday Honours List with the award of a knighthood (KBE) for his exceptional services to Public Health and Infectious Diseases.  He has been made Knight Bachelor of The Most Excellent Order (KBE) which confers him the title of 'Sir' Professor Alimuddin Zumla.  In the U.K., a knighthood is the highest civilian honour accorded by the Queen. 

Many congratulations to Sir Ali for this latest prestigious honour!
