UCL Sustainability Awards Ceremony 2026

Another fantastic year! Our network of Green Champions keeps on growing and sustainability is at the forefront of much of what UCL says and does.

Join us as we celebrate the individuals and teams across UCL who are driving positive environmental change. The ceremony will honour the winners of this year’s Green Impact, LEAF, and Special Sustainability Awards, showcasing a wide range of achievements—from innovative sustainability initiatives to long-term dedication and everyday climate action.

This year’s ceremony is especially significant as UCL marks its 200th anniversary. As part of the celebrations, we will also be spotlighting 200 Stories of Sustainability — a campaign that honours people, projects and ideas that have shaped UCL's sustainability efforts over the past 200 years, while inspiring the action needed for the future. The top selected stories will also be recognised and awarded during the ceremony.

Please note that the speaker line-up for the ceremony is still to be confirmed and will be announced closer to the event.

Whether you're already involved in sustainability work or looking to get started, all are welcome to attend and enjoy inspiring talks, a free lunch, and drinks in a relaxed setting with colleagues.

Nominations for special awards are now open! 

Nominations for our five categories of Special Sustainability Awards are now open. These are in addition to the Green Impact and LEAF awards which are given to Green Champions for completing the programmes. Winners will be announced at the Ceremony and publicised after the event.
