Join us for an essential online induction session led by UCL East’s expert waste management contractor. This isn’t just about where to put your rubbish — it’s a deep dive into how waste and recycling actually work across campus and accommodation.
In this session, you’ll learn:
- What waste streams are available on site (including food, recycling, general, and more).
- The most common contaminants and how to avoid them.
- What happens to your waste after collection — including how it’s sorted, processed, and where it ends up.
- How your choices can help reduce waste and boost recycling rates at UCL East.
This is your chance to understand the full life cycle of waste on campus and become a more conscious resident. Whether you're passionate about sustainability or just want to avoid getting it wrong, this session will give you practical, insider knowledge on how to do it right.
There’ll also be time for questions — so come curious!
