As planetary health becomes an increasingly urgent issue, doctors need to recognise how environmental changes—such as rising temperatures, air pollution, and extreme weather events—affect human health, and how healthcare can harm the environment.
UCL Medical School has demonstrated a strong commitment to sustainability through various initiatives. Notably, the school has been ranked as the second-leading medical school in the UK for sustainability in medical education for two consecutive years, according to the Planetary Health Report Card (PHRC). This student-driven initiative evaluates medical schools on their integration of climate change and planetary health into their curricula.
This recording of the ESD Show and Tell session provides valuable insights into developing transformative curriculum changes related to Education for Sustainable Development.
