season 3 studio

Following the successful first and second series of Unlocking the SDGs – A Blueprint for the Future, Professor Monica Lakhanpaul (UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health) and Professor Priti Parikh (The Bartlett, UCL’s School of Sustainable Construction) are back with a deep dive into the UN SDGs. Over five episodes, the series considers issues including the role of AI and education in the SDGs and what other countries are doing to achieve the goals. Listen as academics from across UCL’s faculties and beyond bring new perspectives and understanding to this complex global issue.

The 17 SDGs, also known as the Global Goals, are the core of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Adopted by all UN Member States in 2015, they provide a framework for the world’s ongoing economic growth, while protecting the environment and addressing societal inequalities. The UN aims to achieve the Goals by 2030.

Throughout the series our hosts and guests consider a range of topics as well as how the SDGs are addressing perhaps the most important issue of our time - climate change. We’ll also be travelling overseas and talking to our partners in India to hear what they are doing overseas to achieve the goals.
We’re excited to be returning with a 3rd series of the podcast. We’re honoured to have been involved in many insightful conversations with academics across disciplines. As recent conversations at COP demonstrated, there’s never been a more important time to have these discussions. We hope you find this series as engaging as we did.”
