UCL SDGs Initiative launches funding call for SDGs-related research

The SDGs Initiative has announced funding awards of up to £10,000 for research helping to achieve the SDGs.

SDGs pathways to achievement

The UCL Sustainable Development Goals Initiative (SDGI) – in conjunction with UCL Grand Challenges and UCL Global Engagement – is offering grants of up to £10,000 for innovative, cross-disciplinary research-related activities designed to help achieve the SDGs.

Last year, funded projects included: a policy toolkit for achieving SDGs in Durban through sanitation, a project exploring the role of the humanities in achieving the Goals and the development of a shared agenda for the SDGs on biodiversity and climate change.

Grants can support cross-disciplinary and cross-boundary projects that generate societal impacts leading to published reports.

Activities can include but are not limited to: research or policy workshops, symposia or conferences; articles or comment pieces in peer publications or media channels; preparatory or exploratory research towards larger grant applications; or public and community engagement activities.

The deadline for applications 9 January 2022.
