Programme Aims

This multidisciplinary programme covers a broad spectrum of musculoskeletal topics, including basic science and clinical aspects of musculoskeletal disease. The programme emphasises the four major musculoskeletal areas as identified by the Bone and Joint Decade – arthritis, osteoporosis, trauma and spinal disorders, as well as transferable skills and research methodology.

It is suitable for medical trainees, especially in orthopaedics, rheumatology and geriatrics; GPs, nurses, osteopaths, physiotherapists and Allied Health Professionals; biologists, bioengineers and pharmaceutical or medical devices, and industry trainees. 

Duration of Programme: 12 months full-time, two years part-time or five years flexible

Entry Requirements: second class honours degree or equivalent. For overseas students, IELTS score of 6.5.

Number of students admitted: up to 30 per year.
