  • Module 2: Musculoskeletal Biomaterials and Biomechanics Part I (mandatory)
  • Module 3: Musculoskeletal Biology Part I (mandatory)
  • Module 4: Musculoskeletal Epidemiology and Research Methodologies Part I (mandatory)

Second Term

(Select four modules from five optional modules provided)
  • Module 5: Clinical Aspects of Musculoskeletal Medicine and Surgery Part II (optional)
  • Module 6: Musculoskeletal Biology Part II (optional)
  • Module 7: Musculoskeletal Biomaterials and Biomechanics Part II (optional)
  • Module 8: Musculoskeletal Epidemiology and Research Methodologies Part II (optional)
  • Module 9: Clinical Experience in Musculoskeletal Surgery (this module takes place at the Royal Free Hospital and is optional)

Third Term

  • Research Project and dissertation write-up.

Assessment

  • Modules 1 – 4: Each assessed by two-hour unseen written examination
  • Modules 5 – 9: Each assessed by coursework
  • Research Project. Assessed by dissertation and viva (by internet for distance learning).

Candidates are examined in the year in which they complete the programme.
