I received my Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with an Option in Mechatronics in 2017 from the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Canada. During my undergrad I had the opportunity to work on the robotics team and intern at robotics start-ups all which culminated in an intensive 4th year project, a retrofittable, automated pint pouring system. I joined the Surgical Robot Vision group in early 2019 after receiving my Master’s in Robotics and Computation at UCL. My research focuses on the model-free control methods for continuum robots in surgical applications. My current focus has been investigating reinforcement learning as an approach for kinematics and dynamics of concentric tube robots.
