Maps & Getting Here
Julie Noren and her friendly team are always happy to help our students and staff with all library matters, be that using library resources and databases, finding an article, arranging for books to be fetched from other libraries, good referencing guidelines, open access publishing etc. The library also offers good spaces for private and group study, is equipped with a cluster of PCs with RNOH & UCL network access and has a bookable meeting pod. You can find the Stanmore Campus Library on the first floor of the Sir Herbert Seddon Teaching Centre, building number 5 (Grid E9) on the campus map.
Food and drink
We like to hang out in Basilian, the café located on the 1st floor of the Aspire Leisure Centre, which is building number 47 (Grid D4) on the campus map. Here you can grab the best barista-made coffee on campus, as well as a selection of tasty meals and snacks, all served with a smile! Basilian is at the heart of the Aspire Leisure centre, with a view of the pool and access to the Aspire Charity offices to one side and the viewing gantry for the sports hall across the stairway.
Broccles is the hospital canteen, located in building number 12 (Grid C7) on the campus map. They serve good solid meals and a range of sandwiches and salads to eat in the restaurant or take away. We always have a laugh with the friendly staff when we drop by here.
Sandwiches and snacks are available to buy from the RNOH shop located in the outpatients reception, building number 41 (Grid D5) on the campus map.
For emergency sustenance when you're working frantically towards a deadline (we've all been there!), you can always grab something from the vending machines located in the main entrance of the Institute of Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Science, building number 6 (Grid D8) on the campus map.
UCL kitchen and common room
You're welcome to use the facilities in the UCL Kitchen and Common Room. There's a microwave, fridge, kettle and coffee machine, tables chairs and TV. It's a popular place to hang out and mingle with students from the other courses. You'll find it in towards the rear of the Institute of Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Science, near the carpark, building number 6 (Grid D8) on the campus map.
The RNOH shop is great for essentials and is handily located in the outpatients reception, building number 41 (Grid D5) on the campus map.
Stanmore broadway is the closest shopping area and has a range of shops for all your daily needs, including a Sainsbury's supermarket, a post office and a Boots pharmacy, as well as several coffee shops and restaurants.
