Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is a priority area for our Division. It is important for your own development to keep your knowledge and skills up to date and this is a key facet of CPD. Some of these skills can improve your performance in your workplace and improve your ability to contribute to your team. CPD helps you to stay interested in your work and opens up new opportunities for your skills to be used. It is good practice for all members of staff to engage with regular CPD activities and different professions and sectors will have different requirements for their staff.
CPD points can be awarded to courses which have demonstrated that they meet required standards for delivering teaching. We have a dedicated CPD team to help those interested in running courses develop their own CPD courses. As a centre of world-class research and teaching, UCL Division of Surgery & Interventional Science is excellently placed to coordinate these activities. All attendees on CPD courses endorsed by the UCL Division of Surgery & Interventional Science will receive a UCL certificate signed by the Division Director.
