Specialist Advice and Casework Services team
Meet the Specialist Advice and Casework Services team.
Overview of the Team
Since 2024, UCL has introduced a range of specialisms within its Student Support and Wellbeing Services that can respond to instances of student casework. Initially focused on homelessness and students facing housing crises, the team has since grown and today covers a wide range of issues, including refugee status, forced migration, support for students affected by war, conflict, and natural disaster, and those affected by harassment, gender-based violence, sexual misconduct, and violence.
We have also introduced a dedicated role to support families, trusted contacts, and next of kin in serious incidents. This new role will liaise directly with those affected by serious incidents and ensure that a holistic support service is available not just for students but those close to them.
