Step 5: Applying for Accommodation
Once you have made your decision to accept your offer you may wish to start your application for accommodation, if you require it.
If you are a single first year international postgraduate students who has accepted an offer to study on a full time Master’s programme, a Postgraduate Diploma or a MPhil/PhD at UCL, have not previously lived in London whilst studying at University and submit your housing application by the deadline, 30th June, you will be offered a place in UCL accommodation.
You should submit an application for housing as soon as you have firmly accepted your offer and further guidance can be found on the Student Accommodation website.
To continue accessing your application and related services, you will be prompted to register for a UCL Applicant Account the next time you sign in to Portico or the UCL Accommodation portal (if applicable).
How to sign up
When you next access Portico or the UCL Accommodation website, you will be prompted to register for your UCL Applicant Account.
You can sign in using your personal email address or one of the available social login options.
During sign in, you will need to provide:
- Your personal email address
- Your student number
- Your date of birth (DOB)
Once set up, your UCL Applicant Account can be used to sign in to both Portico and the UCL Accommodation portal (if applicable) throughout your applicant journey.
Unfortunately, UCL is unable to offer student accommodation to graduate students with UK fee status. There are a number of other options available including the UoL Housing Service and a number of private providers.
