Meet Favour Ong'Udi. Favour is from Kenya, and she studied Clinical Pharmacy, International Practice and Policy MSc. This gave her the skills to advance her career and contribute to global health.
Equipped for life
I am a pharmacist passionate about transforming practice in the healthcare sector through policies that are practical and relatable to the unique setting I find myself practising.
Joining UCL was more than a dream come true for me. I studied an MSc. in Clinical Pharmacy, International Practice and Policy (MSCPIPP) and it has equipped and sharpened my clinical skills and Leadership perspectives.
I gained invaluable skills in Collaborative leadership, building authentic relationships, being assertive in my communication, innovative problem solving, and being a disruptive/blue sky thinker.
I set out to pursue my MSc. for a year, but I must say that this experience has equipped me for life! I feel excited, confident and equipped to tackle the opportunities and challenges that the next phase may bring.

Given that UCL has a good number of international students, almost all the school activities present an opportunity to get to interact with different people, exchange ideas and learn from them.
I networked with my classmates and the different pharmacy professionals in the NHS and at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and Clinical Pharmacy Conferences, respectively.
In the UCL Accommodation, the Student Resident Ambassadors organised activities, such as board games, movie nights and sunrise walks that were great opportunities to get to learn from each other.
Studying in London
Completing a Master’s in a year is quite an intense but very fulfilling journey. To achieve a proper school-life balance means one must prioritise their studies but also intentionally create time to unwind, rest, interact with people, and do something outdoors, as there are so many activities one can consider. My top 3 London things are:
- Try different cuisines. I enjoyed Nasi-Lemak, a Malaysian dish, and the Italian Carbonara.
- Visit the lush, beautiful gardens in London. Regent’s and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Parks are top of my list.
- Catch a sunset. It’s breathtaking. Primrose Hill is a great spot for this.
