Content: This one-day intensive activity for UG students, co-delivered by the Academic Communication Centre and Library Skills, will help you develop the skills to excel in writing your dissertation or research project in your final year. Over the course of the day, you will look at planning your writing and maintaining motivation, designing and refining your research, and structuring your dissertation or research project.
Why take part in this activity? If you are a UG about to embark on your final year dissertation/research project this will allow you to get ahead on your dissertation or research project.

Content: The SENDTech Innovation Challenge is a chance to work in a multi-disciplinary team with other UCL students to address one of the most complex and under-served areas of education: supporting learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). At the end of the Challenge fortnight, each team will have developed a prototype idea or concept that uses technology to address a real SEND education challenge.
Why take part in this activity? You’ll present back your findings to a panel of expert judges and community stakeholders, with a prize of £300 for the best piece of work. Plus, all participants will get a chance to apply for EdTech Access’ venture programme.

Content: This activity puts you into the shoes of consultants for a global business and technology consultancy, FDM, exploring how artificial intelligence can be used to improve business efficiency.
Over the course of two weeks, you’ll research how AI is currently applied across organisations, particularly within the tech sector, and analyse opportunities, risks and ethical considerations.

You will build your client management, team working and leadership skills in a professional context; develop your project management, organisation and time management skills; sharpen your written and verbal communication skills; and enhance your analytical and critical thinking.

Content: This one‑day multidisciplinary hackathon explores how AI is impacting the creative sector, to imagine the future of art in a world shaped by AI. You will be briefed by an artist and work in teams to experiment, question and reflect upon the tensions of the impact of AI on the creative sector. The day will end with teams presenting their findings.
Why take part in this activity? If you want to gain awareness of the creative sector and discover ways professionals within the creative sector are keeping up to date with the rapidly evolving impact of AI.
