Studiosity
Studiosity is a tool that can give you feedback to help improve the structure, language, spelling and grammar, and use of sources in your writing. The service is available to you 24/7.
Improve your writing with personalised feedback from Studiosity
All UCL students can now access a new service – Studiosity – which provides feedback to support writing and referencing skills, without breaching academic integrity.
Studiosity can review your work and give you feedback to help improve the structure, language, spelling and grammar, and use of sources in your writing. This service is available 24/7 and there is no limit to the number of times you can use it.
Studiosity is approved by UCL as it does not:
- Comment on the academic content of your work
- Breach UCL’s academic integrity rules.
This means that, unlike other AI tools, you can use Studiosity with confidence that it is supporting your learning. Studiosity, uses a ‘closed system’ AI, so your work remains your own and will not be used to train AI.
You can continue to access support for your academic writing from experts across UCL including:
- your lecturers
- your personal academic tutor
- the Academic Communication Centre
- Library Skills
- Students’ Union UCL Language + Writing support programme
It’s important to remember that…
You are the author of your work and it is up to you to think critically about how and whether to use the changes that Studiosity suggests.
You should always give priority to guidance and direction from your lecturers, supervisor, programme, department and faculty. Studiosity feedback is here to help you articulate your ideas clearly, but not to standardise your ‘voice.’
You will continue to receive feedback from UCL staff, who will also mark your work.

All current UCL students can access Studiosity via Moodle, where you'll also find frequently asked questions and links to further resources
