- Supportive Conversations
If you would like to speak to a member of staff in private, we will have a separate area for one-to-one conversations.
You can speak to us about any aspect of student life at UCL in confidence. We will signpost you to the most appropriate support for your needs.
- Register with a doctor
Registering with a GP is one of the first things you should do when you arrive at UCL. If you have moved away from home to UCL, you need to register with your local GP. All Home and International students can access free and confidential NHS healthcare and important vaccinations at their local GP.
Team members from local surgeries will be at our Hub in the Student Centre (UCL Main Campus). They can answer any questions you may have about registering with a General Practitioner (Doctor).
On the days when local surgeries staff are not at the Hub, there will still be members of staff on hand to offer advice and information about the service.
- Sexual health advice
There will be NHS Sexual Health Specialists at our Student Health and Wellbeing Hub in the Student Centre.
They can answer any questions you have about sexual health, contraception and NHS GP registration.
- External welfare partners
Meet the friendly staff from Camden Talking Therapies and the Changing Unwanted BEhaviour (CUBE) Clinic to learn about their free mental health support. Our partners offer both online and in-person appointments in the local Camden and Islington area.
Accessible support is available for anxiety, depression, mental health conditions, concerns related to alcohol and drug use and other behaviour patterns such as gaming, gambling and pornography.
On the days when our partners are not at the Hub, there will still be members of staff on hand to offer advice and information about their services.
- Here to Support You Guide
Browse our Here to Support You Guide to understand the range of support available to you at Student Support and Wellbeing Services, elsewhere at UCL, in your local area and online.
The e-booklet is available as a PDF and also an accessible Word document. You can print out the guide using the Print @ UCL services.
