Transition Mentor Programme Awards 2025

We are thrilled to announce the Transition Mentor Programme Awards 2025! These awards celebrate the exceptional efforts of Transition and Senior Mentors in supporting new UCL students and the Transition Mentor Programme.

We will be honouring the incredible achievements of UCL’s Transition and Senior Mentors, celebrating their dedication and impact at the Transition Mentor Programme Awards evening with our participating mentors and departmental staff.

Transition Mentor Awards – Mentees, Senior Mentors and departments can nominate Transition Mentors for an award. Please note that we do not accept self-nominations, but you may want to share the awards information with your mentees! Check out the categories you could be nominated for.

Awards will be given out in the following categories:

Transition Mentor Awards Categories 

The Above & Beyond Award

This award recognises outstanding Transition Mentors who have gone the extra mile to support their Mentees, going above and beyond the call of duty to make a difference to their Mentees' transition to UCL.

Most Creative Session Award

This award is for Transition Mentors who have delivered the most engaging or original session idea. This could include interactive games, themed discussions or anything that got mentees talking!

Most Supportive Mentor Award

This award recognises the mentor who has excelled at signposting services and resources during challenging situations.

Transition Mentor of the Year

This award celebrates the mentor who best represents the values, energy, and supportive spirit of the Transition Programme.

Senior Mentor Awards

The Above and Beyond Award

This award recognises the Senior Mentor that went the extra mile to make sure their mentors felt included, supported, and cared for.

The Administrative Excellence Award

This award recognises outstanding service delivery by Senior Mentors who perform administrative duties and provide administrative support to Transition Mentors, Departments and the Transition Team.

Best Departmental Social Award

This award recognises the most fun and memorable social event or session that really helped students feel settled and at home at UCL.

Senior Mentor of the Year

This award celebrates Senior Mentors who exercise outstanding leadership, initative and overall excellence in their Senior Mentor duties to Transition Mentors, Departments and the Transition Team.
