National Student Money Week 2025

Do you want to ensure you’re receiving all the funding you’re entitled to? Want to know more about how you can manage your money in a sustainable way? Need tips on how to spend less and save more?

Established by the National Association of Student Money Advisers (NASMA), National Student Money Week takes places from 3 to 7 March 2025. This year the theme is ‘Survive and Thrive: Building Financial Resilience’.
UCL Student Funding Office, along with other National Student Money Week partners, has organised events over the week to help you learn more about making your money go further, understanding your finances, and finding alternative avenues for postgraduate funding!
Join us on campus on Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6 March, and enjoy free refreshments while you increase your understanding of finances!
We’ll also be hosting some fun activities virtually. Test your knowledge by attempting our online money quiz, with a £50 prize for the winner. Simply answer these five questions correctly before Wednesday, 5 March to be in with a chance to win!
Or send us your own finance queries, which will be answered by our Student Funding Manager Josh Du Sautoy on the UCL Student Funding Instagram account on Friday, 7 March. - Personal Finance Workshop | Thursday 6 March – private 30 minute appointments available 10am – 4pm | Student Centre
Do you have questions about your credit score, or want to sit down with someone and discuss your financial situation? Perhaps you want to learn more about applying for scholarships, financial assistance schemes or postgraduate funding?
The UCL Student Funding team are offering personal finance workshops in the Student Centre from 10am until 4pm.
Booking are open now. Email Josh Du Sautoy to book your private, 30-minute session to sit with a funding advisor from UCL to undertake a comprehensive look at your finances.

Are you thinking about applying for postgraduate study, but concerned about how to fund it?
Join Luke Blaxill from GradFunding as he discusses different postgraduate funding opportunities, and explores what schemes are available to secure postgraduate funding.

Join us for an interactive session on the UCL Student Funding Instagram channel with Student Funding Manager Josh Du Sautoy. We’re giving you the chance to submit your questions through Ask UCL as a funding query or as an Instagram message, and Josh will answer your questions on Friday!
- Credit Score Online Workshop | Friday 7 March 11am–12pm | With Experian and UCL's Students' Union
What is a credit score? How does it work, and why is it important? Join Experian and the Money and Budgeting team from UCL's Students' Union for this virtual session all about credit scores.
This workshop offers an exciting opportunity to increase your financial capability, and aims to provide an understanding of the importance of credit and actionable tips to help improve your credit report over time.
