Camden Council launch health care campaign for under 25s
27 November 2024
The Look after You campaign from Camden Rise gives you the information you need to access the right health care, when you need it.
Look after YOU, Camden Council's access to health care campaign, launched on Tuesday 8 October 2024. Co-produced with 'Camden Youth: Tell Them', a group of Camden young people aged 16 to 23, this three-month campaign aims to reduce health inequalities experienced by young people in Camden.
This campaign was developed in response to research that proved how adolescents' age affects how they access different types of health care. Findings show us that young people don't always know how or where to access health care, and often aren't getting the support they need early or regularly enough.
Look after You signposts under 25s in Camden to confidential, non-judgemental and friendly health advice, all free and in one place: camdenrise.co.uk/look-after-you. The campaign also seeks to build confidence in young people and reduce the stigma associated with seeking support for health issues, including:
- Help to register with a GP (doctor).
- Sexual health and relationships.
- Mental health and emotional wellbeing.
- Support with drugs and alcohol misuse.
- Help or advice about smoking and vaping.
Camden Rise strives to increase awareness in young people, and the adults working with young people, of the free and friendly health services available in Camden. Please take the time to explore the Camden Rise website and share the Look after YOU campaign with friends. Be sure to follow us @uclsupport on Instagram and Facebook for more information about this campaign.
