The Student Support and Wellbeing Services Green Team Gold Sustainability Award 2024

The Green team at the Student Support and Wellbeing Services are green-fingered, enthusiastic, and creative bunch of colleagues who have been working tirelessly to keep up with the Gold standard UCL Sustainability Award achieved last year. We are so very proud we have!

We are (from right to left) Aki, Emily, Flora, Louise, and Mira. We love all things green and eco-friendly, and sustainable.

We strive to maintain a work environment that is managed with the least damage to the environment. We have been keeping tabs on paper use, on electricity use, and have been champions of eco-friendly cutlery and bottles. 
We have been planting and sowing seeds on the fourth floor of the Student Centre. Our indoor plants are thriving in our offices. We have been carrying out many outside walks in nature and writing various articles for our Green Impact newsletter. 
Our pledge is to maintain the necessary work we do in increasing awareness for the damage caused by carbon emissions, and the harm done to the planet due to single-use plastic. 
We strongly believe that each person plays a pivotal role in the effort to sustain a cleaner more agreeable environmental and ecological habitat for us all to survive. And that the smallest change, a growing of office plants, leaves a small but tangible positive impact.
