Join our international student focus group - £15 per person

As we work on improving the induction to life at UCL, we plan on better understanding your experience as new international students. In particular, your experience attending induction Q&A sessions. Were your questions answered and your doubts cleared? These induction Q&A sessions prove a focal point for all kinds of questions answered, including life in London, safety, fun things to do, academic management, socialization etc.

More often than not, when students are unable to quell their doubts regarding these areas, they take more time to adjust and truly enjoy their experience at UCL.

If you complete this short, 5-minute survey, where we collect information regarding your experience at UCL's induction Q&A sessions for international students, we will better understanding the impact it had. We look forward to your participation as we work assiduously to improve the experience of new international students joining in September 2023!

Please also consider joining an in-person focus group for a £15 Love2Shop voucher. The focus groups will be held at a date between 01/05/2023 to 10/07/2023 on the UCL Bloomsbury campus, where you can talk about what you would have liked to see in an induction Q&A session, your general experience as an incoming international student, and give us feedback on our presentation.

You would only have to join one session (approximately 90 minutes) for the £15 Love2Shop voucher and help the umpteen new international students - who will be in the same shoes as you from some time back.

If you won’t be able to attend a focus group, it’s completely alright, don’t worry, filling out the survey helps plenty!

Focus group information:

• Content – Talk about your struggles with private accommodation and give us feedback on our presentation
• Date – One session between 01/05/2023 to 10/07/2023 (specific day and time to be decided)
• Duration – approximately 90 minutes
• Location – UCL Bloomsbury campus
• Compensation - £15 Love2Shop voucher
