UCL Welcome Service at train stations

12 September 2022

UCL will be running a welcome service at 4 train stations around central London in September 2022 for new students arriving at UCL.

London St Pancras train station

You've already had the big moment when you walk through immigration control, you've got your bags and you're on your way to central London.

If you arrive at Heathrow airport on either Saturday 17 September 2022 or Sunday 18 September 2022 you will hopefully meet one of our Welcome Ambassadors. However, if you arrive outside of these dates or at a different airport, we still have you covered!

UCL will be extending its welcome service to 4 train stations around central London:

Our fantastic Welcome Ambassadors are current UCL students who have been trained to work for UCL. They will be able to answer any questions you may have about directions, what to do next, about the local area or just to provide a smiling face as you step out onto London's streets for the first time.

In the case of London St Pancras International station, they will be waiting just outside the arrivals' exit. As for Warren Street station, Euston Square station and Stratford station, our Welcome Ambassadors will be waiting by the main station exit, just after you've passed through the ticket barriers.

They will be wearing light blue, UCL t-shirts like the ones shown in the picture below.

Please note that they will not:

  • provide transport for you to your accommodation;
  • buy tickets for you;
  • carry your luggage to your accommodation.

Please also note that this service has been chosen for these stations as they are the ones most commonly used by students arriving at UCL.

If you are not sure whether you will reach one of these stations, why not check out our website where we have create detailed information on how to reach UCL Bloomsbury and UCL East from a variety of different airports.
