Where you can take an online assessment on campus
12 July 2022
Useful information if you don’t have at-home access to the technology or study space needed to sit an online assessment.
Updated: 17 July 2024
There are over 3,000 students sitting an assessment at any one time and thousands more will be revising throughout the assessment period, so you can expect campus study spaces to be busy! If you can, we strongly recommend setting yourself up in a quiet place.
Study spaces
UCL has over 4,300 study spaces available in libraries across campus. Library Services are offering 24/7 opening over summer in the Student Centre. Check the opening hours for all library locations.
Advanced booking is not required for most libraries and study spaces but you can reserve a space if you wish. Individual study spaces can be booked for seven hours per day.

We cannot guarantee a spot on campus so if you have not booked a space, we advise you to arrive early enough to find another venue if your intended space is full.
Apply for a laptop loan
Laptop loans are available for use by students across numerous library sites.
As well as our standard laptop loans, UK/EU undergraduate students from low income households can apply to have a laptop loaned to them for their entire period of study at UCL. Students who do not qualify for the long-term loan may be eligible for a shorter term loan service.
See UCL laptop loans for students for full details.
