What happens in the webinars?
The UCL International Student Support team hold these webinars in August 2022 for new international students who will be coming to UCL and/or London for the 1st time in September 2020. In these webinars, a member of the International Student Support team and a current UCL student will be available via video chat to help you with a wide variety of questions you may have regarding life at UCL or life in the UK.
We do this via video chat because we want to provide as much information and support, before you arrive. It may be that you want to know about the study/life balance for a student at UCL. Perhaps you're interested in working whilst you study. Or you could be wondering about making friends in a new country. Whatever your question, we'll do our best to give you the best and most honest answer.
How to join
Click on the webinar date and time below that suits you. You will then need to register for your webinar on the ticketing system, Eventbrite.
When registering, please use your UCL email address if you have received this. If not, use your personal one. After you've registered, you will then receive a confirmation email with the Microsoft Teams webinar link. You will also receive reminder emails leading up to the webinar which will contain the webinar link.
Dates and times of webinars
The International Student Orientation Webinars are divided by level of study for undergraduates, postgraduates and affiliates/exchange students.
All times are given in British Summer Time (BST).
- Undergraduate webinars
- Postgraduate webinars
- Friday 02 September 2022 from 4pm to 5pm (BST)
- Affiliate/Exchange student webinars
We know that feeling. You're on a video chat with 101 other people and it can be a little scary to ask a question in front of everyone. What if they don't understand me? What if the question sounds silly? Well, your question probably isn't silly at all and many other new students will be thinking the same thing. Trust us, we do this a lot.
However, we still understand these feelings, so we will ask that you submit your questions beforehand via our online form below. This allows each webinar to be as tailored to its audience as much as possible.
Your feedback is incredibly important to us and helps us constantly improve these webinars as well as other services we provide for international students. After you have attended one of the webinars, please fill out the feedback form below.
