Affiliate Student Experience

On these pages, you can find information relevant to your experience as an Affiliate student: module information and selection, departmental information and contact details, arrival information and activities, events taking place throughout the year, and where to find support if you need it.

Affiliate Students

Affiliates are students who choose to come to UCL for a short period, usually for Term 1, Term 2 and 3, or the full academic year. This includes Erasmus+, Exchange, Study Abroad (fee-paying) and Junior Year Abroad programmes.

Affiliate Students are supported by a range of teams at UCL, including the Affiliate Student Experience team, academic departments and central teams such as Student Support and Enquiries.

Within departments, your main point of contact is your Affiliate Tutor and your Affiliate Administrator(s). They will support you with academic matters including module selection.

The Affiliate Student Experience team within Student Support and Wellbeing Services is your designated central point of contact during your time at UCL. We will support you with general non-academic queries. You can contact us via askUCL. Throughout the academic year we will also run events for you to make friends with other Affiliates, settle in to life in London, and make the most of your time at UCL.
