The full list of fees for new students enrolling on their MRes for the first time in the 2026 to 2027 academic year.
MRes (not part of a PhD)
MRes students (where the MRes does not form part of a PhD) benefit from a cohort guarantee, meaning that their tuition fees will not increase during the course of the programme, but UCL reserves the right to increase tuition fees to reflect any sums (including levies, taxes, or similar financial charges) that UCL is required to pay any governmental authority in connection with tuition fees.
The fees shown are the fees that will be charged to 2026/27 entrants.
MRes (as part of a PhD)
MRes programmes that form part of a PhD are classed as Research and are not eligible for the cohort guarantee. Fees in subsequent years will increase by up to 5% annually for the duration of your studies.
The fees shown are the fees that will be charged to 2026/27 entrants.
