STS Summer Studentships - apply now!

25 February 2019

Every year, STS aims to provide a range of summer studentships - paid work experience to allow STS students to develop their skills and CVs in related fields.

STS Summer Studentships 2019 - Apply Now!

The 2019 Studentships are now open for applications, and include:

3 studentships working with Dr Brendan Clarke, developing and testing a group of evidence appraisal tools for medical and health policy use.

1 project with Prof. Joe Cain, looking at visualisations in a series of journals

1 project with Jean-Baptiste Gouyon and Malcolm Chalmers, assisting in creating promotional and recruitment materials for the department.

1 project working with Dr Alice Bell at 10:10 Climate Action, helping to boost their digital resources.

Each project will entail 80 hours of work, paid at £13.19 p/h. The placements are only available to UCL students. The placements are designed for undergraduate students, but MSc students are welcome to apply. While these are intended for STS students, those from other courses are also welcome to apply, although we would expect at least a couple of STS modules to have been taken.

Interested parties should submit a one-page cv and one-page personal statement describing why they are a good fit, along with the name of one academic referee who can be contacted during the selection process. Students are welcome to apply for more than one project, but should submit a different personal statement for each project they wish to be considered for. Your application must be received by 5pm, Monday 11th March, and should be sent to sts-vacancies@ucl.ac.uk

Further details, including full information about each project, can be found in the
