Join our research study: Why do International Student Choose UCL?

UCL has partnered with Nous Group, a global management consultancy, to uncover what attracts international students to UCL and explore fresh ideas to enhance our scholarship offering.

Are you an undergraduate or postgraduate taught international student studying at UCL? We want to hear from you! Share your unique story and insights in a two-hour focus group about why you chose UCL and how we can improve our scholarship approach to attract more outstanding students like you.

Take part in one focus group either in person or online. All focus groups will be run by our partners, Nous.

You must be available to join 1 of the following dates:

  • Friday, 13 June:  2.30pm to 4.30pm (in-person, UCL Bloomsbury campus)
  • Tuesday, 17 June: 10am to noon (in-person, UCL Bloomsbury campus)
  • Wednesday, 18 June: 3pm to 5pm (online).

As a thank you for your time participants will receive a £50 Amazon gift card.

How to take part:  

  1. If you are currently an international student and interested, please express your interest via a short form to express your interest.
  2. Nous Group will monitor responses and select participants
  3. Invitations will be sent out by Nous to those who are selected

Please note: unfortunately, we may not be able to offer a place on the focus groups to everyone who wants to take part, and students will be chosen to make sure there is a representative panel of students.

Nous will only share information with UCL in a de-identified manner. Nous will only process your data for the purposes of organising workshops, developing recommendations and creating a report to help UCL improve its recruitment and attraction approaches. Data in this form will be processed in the UK and the USA. Other data will be processed in the UK. Nous will delete your data within 30 days of the project formally closing.
