UCL’s How to Change the World programme to be piloted in Hong Kong and South Africa

This summer, UCL STEaPP’s innovative How to Change the World programme will be going global!

A condensed and intensive version of HtCtW will be delievered as a part of STEaPP’s continuing professional development (CPD) suite for two overseas universities; Hong Kong University of Science and Technologyand the Central University of Technology, South Africa.

Since the launch of HtCtW in 2014, UCL STEaPP has taught over 3,000 participants as part of the Faculty of Engineering’s Integrated Engineering Programme, with high-profile global partners including UN Habitat, the World Bank, the Red Cross Climate Centre, the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change, Practical Action, the UK Department for Transport, Buffalo Grid, Pump Aid, and the Overseas Development Institute.

Having previously delivered a number of highly successful CPD versions of HtCtW, this summer marks the first step in STEaPP’s HtCtW international expansion and the dedication to sharing our unique problem-based experiential learning pedagogy with other institutions and equip rising science and engineering talent with the skills and tools they require to tackle today’s wicked problems.
