Clair Barnes

Biographical Details

Clair originally studied English literature at UCL before realising that statistics was far more fun. She studied mathematics and statistics part-time at the Open University before obtaining an MSc in statistics at Warwick, and joined UCL's department of statistical science as a PhD candidate in 2016, studying statistical methods for postprocessing weather forecasts. She is now a postdoctoral researcher, evaluating and comparing ensembles of projections of future climate over the UK.
